When Doctors Say ‘Cleanse’ They Mean Good Diet
Too many people are getting sucked into a marketing industry that preys upon the demand of health. Body cleanse diets are certainly up there when it comes to health ideas that have never been proven yet are widely popular.
The thing is doctors don’t advocate cleanse diets you hear about from a nutritionist, or more than likely, your neighbor.
Who are you going to believe? A physician or your neighbor who dropped out of high school?
But that isn’t to say that doctors are against all kinds of cleanses. In fact, many doctors will use the nomenclature to describe the process of sticking to a new diet for 1-2 weeks in an effort to kick start the body into naturally getting rid of toxins on its own.
The thing is if you have a healthy diet to begin with then a cleanse won’t help much.
Remember, that when your doctor uses the word cleanse they don’t mean the pill kit from the diet store, but rather the process of integrating healthy food into your diet.
Foods with heavy fiber and vitamin contents are a good place to start.
